Round 2 entry for

Aylin's special talent is making and playing various instruments (carved from wood). She can make bamboo flutes, pan flutes, and ocarinas; but her specialty is harps and lyres. Playing her personal harp, Aoide (named for the original greek muse of song), is one of her favorite pastimes.

So, I'm trying to practice some bgs again @_@ It's very frustrating, but I think I'm making some progress!

not sure if i already commented, but here we go!~
i hope you don't mind me critiquing this a bit :3
first of all, i adore your style!

theres always this lovely glow in your artwork that makes is undoubtedly yours~

i'd say the colours are chosen very well, its just the contrast that bothers me a bit.
i feel the character blends a tad to much with the rest of this piece.(other then the hair, which is the first thing that jumps out.)
speaking of the hair, mainly where its shaded around the silvery metal cylinder holding it; it looks a bit to much like her dress, giving it a cloth-like look to it~
also, the leafs on her harp could use a bit of shine :3

Aw, thanks a bunch hun! I appreciate the crit; I agree that she kinds blends into the bg too much. I probably shouldn't have used such similar colors for everything lol.

Oh my gosh, Metal, this is amazing.. You did so well on the background, no need to worry! ;v; The only thing that looks just a little weird is the waterfall to me. Everything else is just so... STUNNING. <3
